On average, we shoot for a turnaround time is 2 weeks or less, but the pace of any project is set by each client. How much input you can provide during the initial stages, your availability with feedback, how soon the content is ready – all this affects the speed of completion. Before we begin working together, we’ll usually have an initially chat on the phone or via Skype to discuss the project. Once we get started, most of the communication will take place over email. This makes the process a lot easier as we’ll have all of the information saved and can come back to it later. Once we’ve finished the project, we will book in your 1hr digital marketing training session.

Yes. You are welcome to give us a call or reach out at any time. We don’t just build your website and then disappear. We are happy to answer any questions or fix something that breaks. However, large scale design or development updates are billed at an hourly rate. Please know that we would never perform work on your website without first discussing the scope of the work and receiving your approval to proceed.

The length of time it takes to create a fully functional website is based on several factors. Custom design work can take anywhere from 2 weeks or less, depending on the complexity of the design and the number of revisions you require. The development phase requires an additional 1 – 2 weeks, depending on the number of pages, and the functionality required. Of course, these are general guidelines, and we will make every effort to meet the timeframe you have in mind.
It is difficult to quote an average price, due to the enormous range in requirements for a site. According to BusinessWeek Online, a designer might charge $2,000 or more for a basic Web site, not including Web hosting fees. If you check out BuyerZone.com, you’ll see that a 4 – 6 page template-based site will cost around $400, while a full custom design will come in closer to $800 – $1500. A fully customized, unique website design starts at $300, and page development is $50 – $75 each. Pricing for other services and functionality are outlined separately on our pricing page to help you determine and control the amount of your investment. We also provide our clients with a detailed estimate before any work begins.
We specialize in XHTML, CSS and Flash, but are very experienced with JavaScript, DHTML, XML, PHP, and others. Although it’s unlikely, if there’s something we can’t do, we can reach out to our network of partners for additional services (at no additional cost to you).
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. We build your website on our development server, and provide you with a username and password so that you can log in and monitor the progress of your site. During this phase, we encourage your feedback if something isn’t quite the way you envisioned it or if you’ve changed your mind. Once your site is ready and you have provided your approval, we release it live on your server and submit your URL to the major search engines.
We give as much latitude as we possibly can. After you’ve identified the general format and color schemes of your preferred design, we’ll complete up to 2 rounds of major revisions at no charge. All minor revisions are provided at no charge.
Yes! For one time changes, we will provide you with an estimate before beginning the work and charge at our standard hourly rate. If you anticipate regular needs for maintenance, one of our Ongoing Maintenance Plans may be more cost-effective for you.

Yes, we split the payment into two. The first 50% is usually taken once you have seen the mockup of your homepage and you’re happy to move forward. The following 50% is taken 30 days after this.
No. In the past we have found that projects can take a lot longer than expected to complete. We might be waiting for information from you and this can delay the process. Sometimes these delays can take months. This is why we always invoice 30 days after the original payment. At this point we’ll be well on our way with your new website and you’ll be able to see the progress.
Yes, we can arrange a maintenance package to suit your needs. This can range from 1hr per month to 10 hours per month and we can discuss a package that’s right for you.
Yes. We like to offer the ability for our clients to update the website themselves. We we’ll give you all the training and tools to be able to make website amendments. We use a easy to use platform called WordPress so you can add edit and delete content without paying us to do it for you.
Yes you can, we use WordPress to build your website which means you can make changes yourself without knowing how to code. We will also teach you how to use it with a series of helpful videos.
You can have an unlimited amount of pages on your website. We will usually design you 3 pages layouts i.e. A homepage, a blog page an inner page e.g. your about page. You can then use whichever layout you want for each new page you want to add.
It depends on the package you choose. We are happy to write the text for your website if you would like. We have a copywriter in house who will create the content for your website so you don’t have to.
We will ask you a series of questions before we begin, then we will research your market and suggest a series of pages for your website. We’ll learn as much as we need to know to create compelling words that inspire people to get in touch.
No. We only use WordPress to build websites. We have used other platforms in the past but not anymore. WordPress is a platform that’s easily accessible for our clients to update themselves, it’s search engine friendly and it’s easy to integrate with third party companies. If you already have a website. That’s great. This means we can build your new website whilst your other website is still live. Once we are ready to go live and you are happy with the new site we can then swap the old site for the new one. It can take as little as 10 minutes for the new website to be visible. This means you’ll barely even notice a dip in your traffic numbers.
Yes. Your website will be fully responsive and will look great on all devices. We don’t charge extra for this. It comes as standard.
It depends. There’s no clear answer to this question as search engines change their requirements all the time. However, we have had clients get to the first page for their main keywords within 2 days of launching and we’ve had websites take 2–3 months for Google to show them on the first page. However, there is no guarantee you will ever get to the first page of Google for your main keywords, some of your competitors might have huge marketing budgets or have been there for years. No. If you have more customers than you can handle and don’t want anymore then you might not need a website. However if you want to expand the business, get more enquiries or become the go to person in your space then you should have a website.
No. Websites like Facebook, Amazon and Twitter are not like standard websites. They require hundreds or thousands of hours of work just to get the website launched. Not to mention that you’ll need a team of developers on hand 24 hours a day to keep the website running smoothly.
Yes. We will purchase the images for your website. We use stock image websites such as Depositphotos, Shutterstock and 123rf to buy professional images so that you don’t have to pay a photographer.
Yes. Hosting is like renting space on the internet. You’ll need to buy hosting otherwise people won’t be able to access your website.
Hosting usually costs less than £100 per year. It can cost a lot more depending on your requirements. Hosting prices usually increase the more website visitors you have.
If we build your website, we will usually host it for you and you don’t need to do anything. We pay the hosting fee for the first year and we’ll send you an invoice once a year thereafter. Alternatively, you can host the website elsewhere and manage it yourself. It’s completely up to you.
Of course. You’re buying a website from us. It’s the least we can do. As long as it’s available for purchase, we’ll buy it for you and pay for the first year. We’ll send you an annual invoice for the renewal along with the hosting fees. Obviously, if the domain name costs more than the average of $10-$20, then we’d have to discuss this with you!
You will own the domain. We will register the domain in your name and address and it belongs to you. This means you have ultimate control over it.
It depends which package you choose. SEO is usually an ongoing commitment and will require continuous work. However, we do offer a package that will start you off on the right foot. The Digital Elite website plan includes basic on-page SEO for 10 pages. This means we’ll perform keyword research and optimize it for search engines.
Some of our other clients pay over $1000+VAT per month for our SEO services. It really depends on how much work will be required and how much competition you have in your industry.
We track your rankings using our reliable software. We get updates everyday and we’ll be able to see what’s working and what isn’t. We’ll send you a monthly report so you can see your traffic numbers and rankings. Here are some of the recent rankings from our previous clients.
No. We only work with business owners who we can TRULY help. We’re not the type of company who work with anyone and everyone just to make money. We need to be confident that we are the right fit for one another. This is why we have a free discovery session at the start of the process.
No. All of our client meetings are done over Skype or via the phone. It’s rare that we NEED to meet people face to face. Technology allows us to do so much in a small space of time so we don’t believe face to face meetings are necessary. We are always happy to meet you in person if you really need us to but we’ll arrange a consultation price for travel and possible accommodation depending on the distance.
The choice of domain name depends on how you plan to use it. In most cases, it makes sense to choose one that is easy to pronounce and spell if you will be telling people about it over the phone. Above all, you should choose a name that is memorable and not confusing.
The time it takes to build a site depends on the complexity of the site. If you have a deadline, we will work hard to meet it. The most common cause of delay is the content (text/images) from the client.
We fully support any website we design and are always available should you encounter any problems or require new enhancements.
You may move your site to another Web hosting service at any time. Once your design has been completed, we send you a copy of the site on CD.
All our websites are created with search engines in mind, and all designs are compliant with search engine guidelines. It is a good idea for your website to be re-evaluated from time to time as search engines do alter their rules and algorithms. This will ensure that your site is up to date and compliant with new rules.
You need a domain name, a Web server and a professionally developed website. You also need the website to be uploaded to your host and promoted to search engines.
No. We discuss your website requirements and price accordingly. Once you have placed your order with us, we will adhere to our quoted price.
Yes, we do use Flash when it’s required. There are times when Flash animations can be an asset, but there are other times when it is not. For example, we never use Flash to create an entire website or even entire pages. Search engines are not able to read the content of Flash and, as a result, words used in animations are not indexed. It is best to use Flash for small banners, advertisements or demonstrations. Other animations should include some written text in the HTML so that search engines will be able to index the information on the site.
Static Web pages always look the same and the content rarely changes. To make a change, you must create the page yourself or request a Web designer to do it for you. The newly created page and any images must then be uploaded to the Web servers. Dynamic pages are the opposite. They can change every time they are loaded (without anyone having to make those changes), and they can even change their content based on what your website visitors do. The dynamic page can be created to respond to information entered by your site’s visitor. They usually store and pull information from an underlying database. Dynamic sites can reduce ongoing maintenance costs if you don’t want to change things yourself with a Web page editor. They usually cost more to develop, as they require more complex coding. A content management utility also needs to be developed to help you manage your site. Many clients have a combination of dynamic and static elements in their sites. For instance, they might use dynamic pages for a product catalog where they have to change information or pictures regularly. The “Contact” and “About Us” pages are often left as static pages.

Should you need to take your site elsewhere for whatever reason in the future, you have the freedom to do so.
There should be no downtime in your existing site as the new website goes live. The period between making a site ‘go live’ and all the world seeing it is called propagation. Since the internet is made up of a great number of networks, internet service providers, and computers in general, there may be a time when one person sees the new website while someone else still sees the old one. However, at no point should you be in a situation where no website is being viewed during a time of propagation. That being said, we don’t own the internet so stranger things have happened…but it’s not supposed to.
